More than a third of Russians (34%) would like to see more women leaders. This is the conclusion reached by researchers of the Agency “Mikhailov and Partners. Analysis” (results “Tape.ru”).
Among Russians in General, it is widely believed that women often hold managerial positions (50 percent). However, as noted by respondents, in modern society it is not enough. Thus, 34 percent of respondents expressed a desire to see more women leaders. Most often, such a call often came from women themselves (41 percent).
It is also noted that the Russians began to be approved of women working in male-dominated jobs (56 percent). For such professions the authors of the study attributed the profession of engineer or miner.
Nationwide representative telephone survey was conducted in March 2019. The sample consisted of 1792 people.
Earlier, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said about the superiority of women leaders over men. As for men’s occupations, the current official list of 456 occupations in 38 sectors prohibited for Russian women will be reduced. The draft Directive will soon be available for registration to the justice Ministry.
