Canadian firefighter Adam Knauff (Adam Knauff) filed a complaint against their employer — the Ministry of natural resources and forestry — the Tribunal on human rights because it did not provide vegan meals during the struggle with forest fires. About it reports CTV News.
According to fireman, he spent ten days worked “in the extreme and grueling conditions, struggling to save people’s homes”. The leadership knew that Adam is a vegan for the past 20 years, the newspaper writes, however, did not care about the fact that the squad has got quality food. Knauff ate nuts, fruit, and protein bars. “With little food I started to feel physically sick and mentally unbalanced,” says Adam.
After the firemen tried to get him vegan food, he was suspended from the rescue effort. The Department stated that Knauff was dismissed because of “inappropriate, unprofessional and aggressive behavior.”
