The owner of the coastal orcas and belugas, the CEO of the company “Afalina” Alexey Reshetov not going to produce the mammal from the “whale jail.” He stated in court hearings under the claim of animal rights activists in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, reports “Interfax”.
He noted that the animals belong to him, and their liberation can only be accessed after the deprivation of his property rights. “The decision on issue I did not accept and are not going to accept. All reckless statements about a possible release remains on conscience of those who make these statements,” — said the businessman.
Reshetov also said that all 10 orcas and Beluga whales 87 “alive, healthy, eating fine, and rejoice in the arrival of people.”
In October 2018, the ecologists announced the planned sale of 13 endangered orcas from Russia to China. These animals, as well as 90 of belugas contained in the “whale jail” near Nakhodka in the Bay Average. They suffered from cold, snow and ice. The case was brought on animal cruelty and illegal catch of aquatic biological resources. Later the three whales and one whale was missing, on this fact the police checks.
