The position of the Ministry of natural resources and environment on the situation with the release of the animals from the “whale jail” in the Bay Average in Primorye remains the same. This was stated by the press service of the office Thursday, may 23, reports “Interfax”.
“We continue to believe that the animals should be released,” — said the Agency interlocutor, noting that the statements by the head of the Ministry Dmitry Kobylkin, on this issue remain unchanged.
He added that the words of the owner of the coastal orcas and belugas, the CEO of the company “Afalina” Alexei Reshetova that he is not going to release mammals, are his personal opinion. “The final decision will have to take the top leadership”, — noted in press service.
May 22 Reshetov said that animals from the “whale jail” belong to him, and their liberation can only be accessed after the deprivation of his property rights. He also said that all 10 orcas and Beluga whales 87 “alive, healthy, eating fine, and rejoice in the arrival of people.”
