The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin believes that the U.S. government will always support Kiev. He reported about it in interview to the newspaper “Left coast”.
“Surrender Ukraine to the United States means to take their positions. So, we will never surrender”, — said Klimkin.
The Minister noted that there are people who want to make Ukraine a bargaining chip in negotiations between Washington and Moscow. “But today the position of our American partners is absolutely, 100 percent Pro-Ukrainian. Any convergence in these matters, as far as I know, definitely not. The only question is that the United States could maintain his line,” — said Klimkin.
17 may Klimkin has recorded a video message in which he announced his departure from the post of Minister of foreign Affairs. He promised to send a letter of resignation to the Verkhovna Rada and newly elected President Vladimir Zelensky. The politician also announced its participation in the parliamentary elections.
May 20, the inauguration Zelensky, in which the new head of state announced the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation. He also gave the MPs two months to fulfill its requirements: the resignation of the government, the abolition of parliamentary immunity and the adoption of the law on illicit enrichment.
