The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov at the talks in Minsk in 2015 offered to the participants to drink vodka. This was announced by the foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in the air of the TV channel STB, writes UNIAN.
He said that before the talks, Lavrov brought into a separate room of his own, the French Minister Laurent Fabius and head of the German diplomatic Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. There Lavrov ordered a bottle of vodka and offered a drink before discussing the topics assigned.
“Lavrov his whole appearance showed that I’m not in charge here. We immediately began to extrude Threesome — go here to Putin,” — said Klimkin.
In March 2016 meeting in the “Normandy format” (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine) on the level of foreign Ministers have been swearing between Lavrov and Klimkin. It was reported that Steinmeier allegedly even had to intervene in the discussion between the two Ministers that they have not gone beyond diplomatic etiquette.
In February 2015, Minsk hosted a meeting of leaders of four countries — Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany. On its results the document has been agreed, including the introduction in the Donbass cease-fire, withdrawal of heavy weapons, a legislative recognition of the special status of the region.
