In Hong Kong a woman for a few hours has lost his memory after going to the toilet. It is reported by news portal Asia One.
Wished to remain unknown, the patient suffered from constipation and, according to relatives, overextended during a visit to the restroom. When the Chinese came out of the bathroom, she didn’t remember the last 10 years of his life. Concerned relatives immediately took her to the hospital.
The doctor has not found any violations in the work of the woman’s brain. Eight hours came back to her memory of past years, but she didn’t remember everything that had happened since going to the toilet.
Neurologist pan Czasu (Peng Jiaxiong) explained that the patient was an episode of transient global amnesia — sudden loss of memory for a period of from two to eight hours. He suggested that the reason could be mitral valve insufficiency internal jugular vein. Cseason added that due to the fact that the woman was tense, the brain began to receive an inadequate amount of oxygen.
According to the neurologist, such cases are very rare. This can happen to people suffering from constipation, lifting heavy objects or experiencing strong emotions. Czasu advised to immediately consult a doctor, as patients with transient global amnesia high risk of stroke.
