The bull attacked the 69-year-old Stevens of Clovis (Clovis Stephens) when he examined the gas equipment. The owner of the animal darted out into the street with a baseball bat and tried to help the victim. “When I came out, the bull was standing over lying on the ground, he said. — I have a couple times hit the bull bat to fend it off. The man rose to his feet and fled in his truck.”
