In the near future on consideration of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada will be submitted a bill on the appointment of the liability for illicit enrichment, said the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during the discussion of reforms in the country with the mission of the International monetary Fund (IMF). About it reports “Interfax”.

The Ukrainian leader said that if Parliament does not accept his team developed the document, “it will be another proof that it is incapacitated Parliament”. According to Zelensky, the bill will be an important tool for bringing corrupt officials to justice.

Earlier on may 28, representative of the President of Ukraine in the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk said that one of the priorities Zelensky is a bill to remove the parliamentary immunity. It was noted that the Ukrainian leader did not believe in the efficiency of work of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation.

In March it became known that the IMF plans to revise the program of crediting of Ukraine and, probably, to deny her in the next tranche due to the cancellation of articles of the Criminal code on the punishment for illegal enrichment. Ukraine’s constitutional court in February ruled that the article violates the presumption of innocence, requiring the suspect to provide proof of legality of their sources of income.
