No delays with deliveries of anti-aircraft missile complexes (AAMS) s-400 to Turkey is not, said the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. It is quoted by TASS on Wednesday, may 29.
“The delivery occurs before the time period originally scheduled, at the request of the Turkish side. For the nuances for days, months, it is not for us to question. But everything goes according to plan,” he said.
Earlier on may 29 reported that the United States plans to suspend training Turkish fighter pilots in the U.S. because of the deal for s-400. According to two close to the issue of sources, the final decision is still pending. Pilots from Turkey were trained to fly American fighter fifth generation F-35 to Luke air force base in Arizona. It is unknown whether they will have to leave the country, if the training will stop, or they can stay in the country until the final cancellation of the programme.
Washington has repeatedly called on Ankara to abandon the purchase of Russian weapons. The American side has threatened Turkey with sanctions, and also allowed the exclusion of countries from the program production fighter fifth generation F-35.
A contract to supply Ankara with the four battalions of s-400 was achieved in September 2017. The contract is worth $ 2.5 billion, but half of this amount will cover the Russian loan.
