The state Duma Committee for security and counteraction of corruption confirmed the need to clarify rules for the use of Nazi symbols. This was reported on the website of the faction “United Russia” on Thursday, may 30.
The corresponding legislative initiative made earlier by the Chairman of the Committee on culture Elena Yampolskaya. It proposed to allow the use of Nazi symbols or attributes in the works of science, literature, art, media, teaching materials, subject to the condemnation of Nazism and extremism. The changes will affect the law “On perpetuation of Victory in the great Patriotic war 1941 – 1945”.
Yampolsky pointed out the relevance of the bill because, she said, is now the law puts almost all of the films about the great Patriotic war. Legal conflict leads to unnecessary fines, she said.
