A resident of the U.S. state of new Hampshire suffered from the attack of a rabid bat. About this newspaper the New York Post.
The incident occurred on Thursday, may 23. Roy Sivertson (Roy Syvertson) sat down on the living room sofa and pulled out the iPad, when out of case, put on the device, flew a bat and bit him. “I felt as if I was stung by a small bee,” — said the 86-year-old American.
Sivertson managed to catch the animal and move out of the house. The next morning the man came into the yard and saw the same bat. In the evening he noticed that the animal was killed. The bat was sent for a medical examination which revealed that she was suffering from rabies. An elderly American asked for help in the hospital.
According to the newspaper, Severtson is on the mend. “Good thing I was not to hug him” — jokingly he said.
In 2018, it was reported that the Australian city of Cairns, Queensland, because of the heat massively die bats. One of the local residents moved to another area after 5.5 thousand dead bats littered her yard.
