A former Odessa Governor said that offended not to Avakov, the former President of Petro Poroshenko. “Poroshenko made promises. “Obezyanki – cacanki, fool the joy.” That’s happened to us. So I have a reason to be offended by Poroshenko. Well any reason to be offended by Avakov?” — Saakashvili said.

At the meeting, Avakov asked Saakashvili, who was then Governor of the Odessa region, why he discussed the privatization of Odessa portside plant “a Russian oligarch with URALCHEM”. In response, Saakashvili stated that will not to talk about it, and accused the government that it “leads to corruption” in the country.
During skirmishes Avakov swore obscenely, called the Governor a thief and demanded that he “get the hell out of the country”. Also the interior Minister threw in the direction of the President a glass of water, after which the meeting of the national Council closed.
In may 2015, Poroshenko appointed Saakashvili, Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration. A half later, the President was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship policy after the Governor accused Poroshenko of corruption.
In February 2018, the Ukrainian intelligence services detained Saakashvili, was expelled from the country and banned until 2021.
