The President of the Institute of emergency children’s surgery and traumatology Leonid Roshal and the children’s Ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova has prepared a proposal to the Ministry of construction of Russia on the mandatory installation of restrictors on the Windows in high-rise buildings from two floors. About it reports “Interfax” with dedicated child safety press conference.
The project includes a mandatory installation of restrictors on the Windows developers in all residential complexes on the floors from the second and above. The measure is intended to ensure the safety of children living in these homes. “If you want to remodel homes built, it is necessary to change, it is not so expensive,” — said Roshal, stressing that information about installing the limiters should check the parents at discharge novorochennyh children from the hospital.
Parents, in homes that do not have limiters, Roshal invited “to give a set to put on the window.” The surgeon said that the practice to set the limiters on the Windows have long operated in the USA and Europe, and it has a significant impact on the statistics of accidents.
According to the announced data the Ombudsman for children, since the beginning of 2019, from the Windows of Russian houses fell more than a hundred children, 15 of them died.
In 2017-2018, Russia held the action “safe childhood”, in which activists checked for safety playgrounds, shopping centers, arrtactive and other places of mass rest of children. For a year and a half of action, the participants identified and eliminated violations more than 42 thousands of facilities throughout Russia.
