The mayor of the town of carbon hill in the us state of Alabama has written that without the destruction of homosexuals cannot change what is happening in society. About it reports BBC News.
As noted, mark chambers (Mark Chambers) placed a similar post on his page on Facebook, but later deleted it. The message contained a picture with the inscription “We live in a society where homosexuals are reading us moral, transvestites lecture on human biology, child-killers — on human rights, and the socialist about the economy”.
The image was accompanied by a comment from the mayor. It said that the only way to change this order of things is to “eradicate the problem”. “I know it’s bad to say, but without destruction there is no way to fix it,” wrote chambers.
The publication caused outrage. In particular, human rights activists from Alabama demanded the resignation policy. His comments called appalling and unacceptable, because members of the LGBT community and so are faced with extremely high levels of violence and harassment in everyday life.
During the review channel WBRC chambers initially denied that he wrote like. He later explained that he intended to send the picture to a friend in private. It is noted that in conversation with journalists the official also mentioned migrants, called them ungrateful and claimed that they captured the USA.
In the end the mayor was forced to apologize. However, he noted that his words were taken out of context.
Chambers holds the position of mayor of carbon hill in 2014. This town with a population less than 2 thousand people located 240 kilometres North of the capital of Alabama is Montgomery.
