Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin addressed to the chief of the Metropolitan police Oleg Baranov with a request to personally control the case of the detained journalist of “Medusa” Ivan Golunova. About it The Bell has declared a press-the Secretary of mayor Gulnara Penkova reported in Telegram-channel publication.
“The mayor asked the police chief to take the case of Ivan Golunova personal control and as objectively as possible to understand,” she said.
Previously published testimony, which the correspondent of “Medusa” gave on the occasion of his arrest by police on suspicion in sale of drugs.
Journalist Ivan Golunova was detained in the afternoon on 6 June in Moscow near the metro station “Tsvetnoy Boulevard”. The Metropolitan police confirmed the fact of detention. Concerning the journalist criminal case on signs of the crime provided by article 30 and article 228.1 of the Russian criminal code.
Golunov guilt does not recognize. According to the correspondent, the police officers exerted psychological pressure on him and used physical force. However, he refused to take swabs from his hands and slices the nail plate, which checks for the presence of drugs on the body.
“Medusa” has stated that the detention Golunova related to his professional activity. The publication said that he was preparing the material, which had received threats.
Golunov known investigations of the tenders, which distributed the budgetary money. In August 2018, he released an investigation about the redistribution of the funeral market, which involved officials.
