The journalist of “Medusa” Ivan Golunov previously detained in Moscow, are officially charged. This was reported by human rights activist Pavel Chikov in his Telegram channel on Saturday, June 8.
Published attorney the decision stated that Golunov made attempt at illegal sale of narcotics in the large size.
He is charged with crimes under part 3 of article 30 (“Preparation for crime and attempted crime”) and part 4 of article 228.1 of the criminal code (“Illegal manufacture, sale, or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogs”).

Earlier on June 8 it was reported that the OSCE is concerned about the detention of the correspondent of “Medusa” and requires the Russian authorities to release him. The representative of the public Affairs Harlem Desir said the journalists “under no circumstances” should not be prosecuted because of their work.
Ivan Golunova was detained in the afternoon of June 6 in the center of Moscow. Police released nine photos with a variety of containers, flasks and powders, which were allegedly found at home Golunova. Later it turned out that only one of the photos really made the place of his residence, the rest of the footage was shot in other locations during the operational development group of persons engaged in the marketing of drugs.
After the arrest Golunova in Moscow and other cities, held pickets in support of journalist. In the capital police detained more than 10 participants.
Golunov has declared his innocence. The team of “Medusa” reported that the journalist had received threats while working on a new article. It is also known investigations of public procurement, the funeral business, “black lenders.”
