Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said he was ready to become Prime Minister if the party “European solidarity” wins the parliamentary elections. He said this to the TV channel “Gromadske” at an election Congress of the party.
“If we win the election, then — Yes,” — said Poroshenko on the question of considering the possibility of becoming Prime Minister.
The former head of state and the leader of “European solidarity” also emphasized that he bears full responsibility not only for the decisions his party, but for the actions of the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko”.
Earlier in may, Poroshenko explained why I couldn’t retire from politics. He stressed that he will remain in politics not for office, and to “protect the already conquered in nation building”. The former President intends not to allow to collapse the course of the country with EU membership and NATO.
Elections to the Verkhovna Rada scheduled for July 21. According to the latest preliminary survey conducted by the sociological group “Rating”, the Parliament can pass five parties: “the Servant of the people” that support President Vladimir Zelensky; “the Opposition platform — For life”; “European solidarity” (formerly BPP) Poroshenko, Batkivshchyna Yulia Tymoshenko and the party “the Voice” frontman “Okean Elzy” Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.
