On 9 June it was reported that Golunov, who is accused of attempted drug trafficking, is under police surveillance since March. Earlier in the day it became known that the journalist’s case transferred from the UVD po ZAO to the main investigation Department of the Moscow police.
The journalist was detained on 6 June in the centre of Moscow. According to police, during the search he found about four grams of the drug, also drugs were found during a search of his apartment. He declared his innocence and said police refused to take him rinse his hands and slices the nail plate to check whether the touched Golunov drugs.
Nikulinskiy court of Moscow has sent him under house arrest until August 7.
