Russian President Vladimir Putin “timely” will consider a petition for the dismissal of two generals of police after the acquittal of the journalist of “Medusa” Ivan Golunova. This was reported by press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.
Earlier, interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said that he decided to apply to Putin about the dismissal of the chief of police at CJSC Moscow Andrei Puchkov and the head of Department on control over drug trafficking (ESC) of the MIA Yuriy Devyatkina.
He also said that the law enforcement officers involved in the case of journalist Ivan Golunova, discharged of execution of official duties.
In the afternoon of 11 June, the interior Ministry announced the termination of the criminal prosecution Golunova in connection with the failure to prove his guilt. Charges against a journalist dropped, he will be released from house arrest on June 11.
