The investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) will review the materials in relation to the police unreasonably detained journalist Ivan Golunova, and will take a procedural decision. On Tuesday, June 11, the official representative of SKR Svetlana Petrenko said “the Tape.ru”.
According to Petrenko, the investigation Committee intends to establish all circumstances related to the unjustified arrest of journalist and violation of his rights. Also, the investigators will carefully analyze the materials of service of own safety of the Ministry of interior against the police officers involved in criminal prosecution Golunova.
These materials were sent to the TFR interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev. “If there are grounds for the results of the preliminary investigation will be made legitimate and reasoned procedural decision”, — said Petrenko.
Earlier it was reported that the interior Minister decided to petition the President of Russia Vladimir Putin about the dismissal of the head of Department on control over drug trafficking (ESC) of the MIA Yuriy Devyatkina.
On the evening of 11 June the Minister announced the termination of criminal prosecution Golunova in connection with the failure to prove his guilt. Charges against a journalist dropped, he will be released from house arrest.
Golunova detained on June 6 in Moscow, he was charged with attempted sale of drugs and sent under house arrest. According to the carried out expertise on any item seized in the case of journalist, there were no fingerprints Golunova, washouts from the palms of the hands and nail plates, it was not revealed traces of banned substances, and he held the drug test showed negative result.
