Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk explained the refusal of a duel with Russian Alexander Povetkin. He told about it in his YouTube channel.

32-year-old Ukrainian said that his confrontation with Povetkin would be translated into policy. “Don’t really want to fight with Alexander, because what happens is political, not sporting, dirt on both sides”, — said the Mustache.

In March, Ukrainian boxer refused to fight in the first heavy weight with another Russian Denis Lebedev. After this decision, the Mustache was stripped of the belt of the world Boxing Association (WBA) in this weight category. Plans for the fight with Povetkin became known in February. Then it was about fighting in the heavyweight division.
