The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky can appear before the court because of the decision to cancel some of the decrees of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko. About it reports the edition “Observer”.

June 11, Vladimir Zelensky reversed the decrees Poroshenko on the appointment of the members of the High Council of justice of Andrey Vasilenko and Mikhail Isakov. He also issued a decree on holding an open competition for appointment to this body.
Poroshenko appointed Vasilenko Isakov and members of the VSP may 13 — after the CEC announced the official results of the presidential election, in which the former leader of Ukraine received about 24 percent of the vote.
The high Council of justice ensures the independence of the judiciary in Ukraine. It includes 21 people, the term of office is four years. A member of the VSP may not belong to political parties, trade unions, participate in any political activity, have representative mandate, occupy any other paid positions or perform any paid work except for scientific, teaching or creative.
