The humanitarian situation in Donbass during the presidency of Vladimir Zelensky has not improved. It on a press-conferences in Kiev were declared by the Chairman of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE), foreign Minister of Slovakia Miroslav lajčák. Lajcak said that during a previous visit to Ukraine in January, he proposed a set of measures to strengthen the confidence of Kiev in the Donbass. Among these measures is the repair of the bridge in the Village of Lugansk, the protection of civil infrastructure, the exchange of hostages, the opening of additional points of entry and exit, the solution to potential environmental problems, improving the quality of health services and restoration of railway communication through the contact line.

“Unfortunately, for people on both sides of the contact line, little has changed since my visit in January,” said lajčák.

He added that he is going to offer the new authorities of Ukraine to unite efforts for the solution of humanitarian problems of the residents of Donbass and find out how you can achieve this goal. “Improving the appalling humanitarian situation and living conditions of people, especially in the East of Ukraine, is a priority in our agenda”, — said the Chairman of the OSCE.

The end of the war in Donbass was one of the main election promises of Vladimir Zelensky. June 5 was held the first after his victory a meeting of the trilateral contact group.
