The volume of residential real estate in the Moscow region by the end of 2019 may be reduced by 16 percent. This was stated by the Minister of housing policy of the Moscow region Inna Fedotova, reports the Agency “Moscow”.
According to Fedotova, in 2018, the region has built 8.6 million square meters, in 2019 the planned entry at the level of 7.2 million square meters. “The demand for housing is lower than the housing. Thus, all that relates to the decline of housing construction in the Moscow region, the need for this housing in order to have a balance,” — said the Minister.
She also noted that on the background of reducing the number of apartments increases the number of constructed non-residential purposes. In the first quarter of 2019, the volume of nonresidential construction in the region in annual terms, rose by a quarter, said Fedotov.
Earlier in June, it was reported that in the period from January to April of 2019 in Russia was commissioned to 19.6 million square meters of residential real estate is 3 percent less than the same period last year. The decrease in volumes of commissioned housing marked in 40 regions of the country, out of 85. Hardest dipped indices in Saint-Petersburg: 61 per cent over the year to may 2019.
