Terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia) became significantly more likely to use militants-women on the front lines. It is stated in the report published on the website of Europol.
According to police service of the EU, women have become indispensable to ISIS in those areas where fighting is going on. The organization has declared participation in Jihad “moral duty” to their followers, and those are increasingly the performers of the attacks and with weapons in hand fighting on the battlefield.
The Europol investigation began due to concerns about women and children returning from ISIS to their home countries. It is reported that women make up about 15 percent of prisoners in the European Union militants.
The authors of the report note that the wiring from the Islamists understanding of the role of women in Jihad in fact has not changed her priorities remain the procreation and education of future terrorists. However, the lack of staff and the strategic objectives of the groups forced the jihadists to attract women for combat.
