Clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL) spoke against possible changes in the format of the Champions League. This was reported on the website of the tournament.
The statement said that “the proposed reform could affect the structure of the calendar of RPL and decrease its competitiveness compared to other leading European leagues”. With this new format, according to RPL, can corrupt and other European leagues.
