In Russia over the past five years has increased the number of citizens who are not interested in foreign policy. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of Fund “Public opinion” (FOM) published on the website of the organization.
Thus, the number of Russians who do not follow foreign policy, increased from 38 percent to 50 percent. Among the respondents, follow these processes mainly older people. The majority of respondents at the age from 18 to 30 years (67 per cent) do not follow the external course of the country.
Also a third of Russians said that the leadership of the country pays foreign policy too much attention. Moreover, almost half of citizens believe that the last time foreign policy was more success than failures.
Commenting on bad decisions of the authorities, the majority of respondents (63 percent) identified tensions with Ukraine and the United States.
In October last year, the vast majority of Russians did not want to participate in any protest actions (86 percent).
