Deputy General Director of the Russian anti-doping Agency (RUSADA) Margarita Pagnocca said that he received threats from former Minister of sport of Mordovia Vladimir Kireev. Her words leads to “Match TV”.
Pagnocca remembered that RUSADA had problems with access to the Mordovian walkers, which inaccurately indicated their location. Because of this, officers could not conduct a flash test. According to her, they called the numbers of the rooms we’ve lived in the Mordovian Olympic training Center.
Home address athletes also refused to name. As a solution to the problem Pagnocca offered to athletes at the appointed hour regularly to go to the lobby of the Center and wait for possible testing. “After this I called former Minister of sport of Mordovia Kireev and direct text said: “don’t You remember how we finished the previous heads of RUSADA?”. And he called the work number, and I was warned that the conversation is being recorded,” said Ahnika.
In February 2016 died Executive Director RUSADA Nikita Kamaev and Chairman of the Executive Council Vyacheslav Sinev. This happened after the journalist was deprived of compliance with the code of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) as a result of a doping scandal involving covering up positive doping tests for Russian athletes. The organization was reinstated in September 2018.
In June, the head of WADA, Olivier Niggli recognized RUSADA is an independent body and noted that the organization has achieved success in the fight against doping. CEO of the Russian Agency for now is Yuri Hanus.
