Ukrainian authorities to conduct monitoring visits of inhabitants of the Crimea to Ukraine. It is reported “Crimea.Realities” with reference to the Deputy Minister on the issues of the temporarily occupied territories of Yusuf Kurkchi.
According to him, an anonymous survey will be conducted at the checkpoints of entry and exit admingranitse in the Crimea. The timing of monitoring was not reported.
Kurkchi said that the survey will allow us to analyze the problems faced by the inhabitants of the Crimea, and to identify trends. “We conducted a preliminary monitoring and I can say that the main part calls for the solution of problems of documentation, the other for medical services,” he said.
In addition, according to the Deputy Minister, there is a category of people traveling to Ukraine on issues related to education. He also added that a small part crosses the border to go further — on vacation or in other cases.
Crimea became part of Russia according to the results of a referendum held in March 2014. Ukraine, USA, EU members and other countries do not recognize its results and consider the presence of the Peninsula as part of Russia’s occupation. Moscow insists that the accession process meets the norms of international law.
