MIA counted 1600 rally participants in downtown Moscow

In a consistent rally in Central Moscow, which was held under the slogan “Law and justice for all” was attended by about 1,600 people. This is stated in the message of capital Department of the Ministry of interior.

The action takes place on Prospekt Akademika Sakharova. “The police and Regardie ensure the protection of public order and security,” said representatives of law enforcement agencies. It is expected that the meeting will end at 15:00 Moscow time.

The organizers are the Union of journalists of Russia (szhr) and the Union of journalists of Moscow. It was expected that the meeting will be attended by 20 thousand people.

Earlier it was reported that the President of the Russian Union of journalists Vladimir Solovyov invited to the meeting anyone who “cares about the principles of freedom of speech and the rule of law against citizens of our country”, and journalist of the edition “jellyfish” Ivan Golunova.

In Moscow and in several Russian cities on 12 June held an unsanctioned rally in support of Golunova, who was charged with attempted sale of drugs and sent under house arrest and later released it as his guilt was not proven. He Golunov refused to go to share.
