Shevchenkovsky Department of the police of Kiev began criminal proceedings after the explosion, which occurred in the city centre on Sunday night, June 16. This was reported on the website of the National police.
As noted, the proceedings are begun as regards 1 article 272 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (“Violation of safety rules during performance of works with high risk”).
The police explained that, presumably, the explosion occurred due to gas leakage in one of the garages located in the yard among the houses. “Currently, police are interviewing the owner and establish the causes of the explosion”, — said there.
The explosion occurred at the intersection of Bulvarno-Kudryavskaya and Turgenevskaya in the centre of Kiev. It was reported that as a result of collapsed wall of one of the houses, and in nearby buildings smashed all the Windows. Information on victims did not arrive.
