Moscow management of Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) initiated a case against the network of fast food restaurants “Burger king” for advertising slogans. This is the official website of the Department.
Representatives of the FAS drew attention to the following slogans: “Accuracy them all!”, “Acurately chicken fries” and “will be distributed by E-points for coffee.” The examiners considered such advertising is unethical, as it can be seen as obscene images that aggression and destructive appeals.
“In one of the cases is spread in the form of posters in the Windows of the restaurants “Burger king” and has been available including small children. We believe it is the “Burger king” is offensive and will continue to fight it,” — said the head of Moscow OFAS Russia Armen Khanyan.
The case is scheduled for June 26. According to the FAS, if the guilt “Burger king” is proven, the penalty for each violation can be up to 500 thousand rubles.
“Burger king” is not the first time it appears in the center of a scandal over provocative advertising slogans. In June 2018, the company had to apologize for a promise to pay three million rubles and a lifetime supply of branded burgers women who became pregnant on the stars of world football.
