Midfielder Denis Glushakov, who retired from Spartak Moscow, has published in Instagram appeal to fans explaining the reasons for breaking the contract with the club.
The former captain said that he was leaving the club for the sake of “Spartaka”. “I understand that all of this blows over, if I don’t go,” said the player, hinting at the uneasy relationship with the fans of red and white. He also promised that he will not disappear and will continue to play football. What team he will continue performances, the midfielder said.
“I’m not ashamed for anything. I love you very much. Take care of Spartak”, — concluded Glushakov.
On the breach of contract Glushakov Spartak became known earlier, on 19 June. The contract was terminated by mutual consent of the parties. Glushakov played for the red-white in 2013, and in 2017 in the status of the captain helped the team become the champion of Russia.
A midfielder in the fall of 2018 had problems in relations with red and white fans, Glushakova believed to be involved in the care of the Italian team of Massimo Carrera. The latter led the club in the summer of 2016 and led the club to a first League title since 2001. Despite the negative reaction of the fans, the player has retained the armband under new coach Oleg Kononov.
Among the contenders for Glushakova media called “Sochi”, “Rostov” and “wings of the Soviets”.
