The head of Rostourism doguzova sarin said in an interview with Sputnik Georgia, what will a ban on flights between Russia and Georgia.
According to her, the flow of tourists from Russia will be reduced by 60-70 percent. Sales of bus tours in Georgia can grow, but only slightly. Before the ban, about 75 percent of the tourists traveled to the country by plane.
In connection with the ban, the Russians will be more likely to choose alternative destinations. Doguzova suggested that the most popular will be the Crimea, Krasnodar Krai, as well as Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to her, the tourists had not yet begun to exchange previously booked tours to Georgia for the other direction, cancelled the trip unit.
The head of the Federal tourism Agency said that all Russians who prematurely want to leave Georgia, get the opportunity.
June 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree prohibiting Russian airlines to fly to Georgia from 8 July. Later the ban was extended to Georgian carriers operating flights to Russia.
This decision was taken in connection with the protests in Tbilisi. On 20 June, several thousand people stormed the Parliament building. After several hours, the police used tear gas against protesters and rubber bullets. According to the latest data, injured 240 people, 80 of them were police officers.
