The agriculture Ministry has no plans to control the collection, processing and trafficking of wild mushrooms, berries, nuts, birch SAP, and medicinal plants by Russians, reports TASS.
It specified that the main task of the Department is to increase exports of agricultural products.
It is noted that Russia has reserves of wild-growing raw materials at the level of 8.5 million tons. At the same time, these resources are currently used by only six percent.
Taking into consideration the development potential of the industry, the Ministry of agriculture proposes to increase the “quality and efficiency of legal regulation in this sphere and to provide access to companies harvesting, processing and storage of wild plants to existing measures of state support”.
July 3, owned by Grigory Berezkin, the Agency RBC reported that the Ministry of agriculture plans to impose restrictions and control measures for the collection of wild plants. This was motivated by the fact that the products have high export potential.
