Putin was outraged by the calls for compliance with Minsk agreements

Russian President Vladimir Putin urged European partners to cease to impose on Moscow full responsibility for the observance of the Minsk agreements. He said this during a press conference after a meeting with Prime Minister of Italy, Giuseppe Conte, reports TASS.

“We cannot demand from Russia perform the same the Minsk agreements even in that part, which of us does not depend on”, — said the head of state. He called for “quietly to figure out who needs to do”, and not to shift the responsibility on one party.

The Russian leader stressed that the implementation of the Minsk agreements, you must cancel the decree ex-the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko about the economic blockade of Donbass, however, Putin himself could not do so for Kiev.

Earlier during the press conference, the Russian President said that statements by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky contrary to his promises he did during election campaign. Putin noted that Zelensky has declared its readiness to settle the conflict in the Donbass, however, later declared that he did not want to engage in dialogue with the “separatists”.

A set of measures to implement the Minsk agreement (Minsk-II agreement) was agreed at the summit in Minsk on 11-12 February 2015, the presidents of Russia, Ukraine, France and Chancellor of Germany. The document was signed by representatives of Russia, Ukraine, the OSCE and the breakaway DNI and LC. According to the agreement, the warring parties in the Donbass obliged to cease hostilities, Kiev has pledged to carry out political reforms.
