Intergeo, a member of the group “ONEXIM” Mikhail Prokhorov, has applied to the government for support in infrastructure development for the project production of metals for the purpose of manufacturing batteries. About it reports “Kommersant”, citing a letter from the head of the Board of Directors of LLC “MC “Intergeo”,” Alexander Khloponin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Intergeo plans to build AK-Sug open mine mining and processing plant (GOK) in Tuva with a capacity of processing 24 million tons per year and kingashskaya mining in Krasnoyarsk region with a capacity of 20 million tons per year.

As stated in the document, the implementation of “such a big” project will cost 193,2 billion rubles, of which 58.8 billion will be spent on the construction of roads and power lines.

Noted that the high cost of infrastructures reduces the investment attractiveness of the project for the banks and external partners. Therefore, Khloponin proposes to consider the possibility of state participation in financing.

According to his calculations, the state investments will pay off due to tax payments in the next four to five years from the date the GOK in operation. Dmitry Medvedev instructed the transport Ministry, energy Ministry, Finance Ministry and the Ministry of trade and industry to make concerted proposals on this issue.

The owner of the “Intergeo” Mikhail Prokhorov took second place in the ranking of Russians with the highest incomes for 2018, prepared by Forbes.
