The complex R-36M2 “Governor” after the de-alerting can be used for launching civilian space vehicles. This was announced by the General Director of “Rosatom” Dmitry Rogozin, RIA Novosti reported.

On the probable fate of the “Governor” (NATO classification — Satan, RS-20V) Rogozin said during a visit to the defense enterprise “Krasmash” in Krasnoyarsk. Since 2011, is replacing “Satan” — Intercontinental ballistic missile “Sarmat”.

“There are so-called recycling method by starting. We could adapt it to the projects related to the removal of a small spacecraft in the civil orbit. The issue is discussed. Should this method be extended to all combat missile that will be removed from combat duty,” — said Rogozin.

He also said that such method of disposal may be used for the newest missiles, for example for the “Sarmatian”. According to him, the disposal of the rifle must be held with the maximum benefit.

It is planned that the first production samples of “Sarmat” entered service with the Russian army in 2021.
