Tbilisi residents staged a rally near the office of the Georgian TV channel “Rustavi 2”. About it reports the edition “Sputnik Georgia”.
The building of the company gathered about a hundred people. Protesters unhappy with the antics of TV presenter George Gabunia that obscenely spoke to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. They chant “Georgia without Rustavi 2” and throw the brooms in the direction of the office of the TV channel.
The publication notes that the protesters are acting emotionally. They demand that the TV station and host apologized.
Earlier, the President of the country Salome Zurabishvili condemned the trick Gabunia. She said that such behavior runs counter to Georgian traditions and only contributes to the aggravation of relations between the two countries. Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze also criticized the TV presenter.

Relations between Russia and Georgia escalated in late June. Putin has decided to ban direct flights between the countries on 8 July.
