State scientific library named after Pushkin in Omsk is planned for the next few years 1650 to digitize the literary monuments. About it reported in a press-service of the Ministry of culture of the region, reports TASS.

The number submitted to treatment publications — scientific literature on biology and medicine, books on theatre and fiction.

“Digitized unique editions of the XVII-XX centuries, presented in the collections of the library of the Omsk, and then placed on the online resources of the National digital library”, — said the press-Secretary Svetlana salikova. According to her, this way with books can read reader from anywhere in the world.

It is noted that until 2024 on a special equipment, which ensures careful and high-quality scanning, it is planned to digitize annually 200 books. At the moment in electronic form available for 140 of the literary monuments.

The initiative is being implemented under the national project “Culture”, for which a dedicated 113,5 billion. It includes three Federal programs: “Cultural environment”, “Creative people”, “Digital culture”. In accordance with the purposes of the project until 2024 will be equipped art schools and schools of musical instruments, equipment and instructional materials, creation and overhaul of cultural and leisure facilities in rural areas, acquisition of mobile multifunctional cultural centers for the maintenance of the rural population, digitization of film content on digital media of the Gosfilmofond of Russia, as well as create virtual concert halls.
