The consulting company Strategy Partners has conducted a study on the preparedness of Russian business to digital information. The results of the survey are owned by Grigory Berezkin Agency RBC.
In particular, it was found that only four percent of the companies in Russia have a strategy, the vast majority (91 per cent) are using outdated business model.
It is noted that Russian business is considerably inferior to the developed countries in terms of digitalisation. For example, only 17 percent of companies in Russia are taking part in electronic procurement, while in member countries of the Organization for economic cooperation and development (OECD), the figure is 48 percent.
Representatives of Russian companies cite a lack of knowledge about technology. In addition, more than a quarter of survey participants do not understand how innovation can contribute to business development.
Previously, experts of the Higher school of Economics (HSE) stated that Russia’s GDP could grow by 30 percent by 2030 by creating the necessary digital infrastructure.
