The company “Sheremetyevo handling” (a subsidiary of Sheremetyevo) increased workers salaries five times, but it did not help to solve the problem with delayed baggage. It is reported by family-owned Demyan Kudryavtsev, the newspaper “Vedomosti” with reference to the General Director of the Sheremetyevo Michael Vasilenko.
First payments to movers, and Sheremetyevo amounted to 45 thousand rubles per month, and from July they will get to 200-211 thousand rubles.
The head of the airport did not explain whether the increased salary to all employees or only to new. According to the Minister of transport Eugene Dietrich, who conducted the recruitment and the airport expects to hire up to 400 movers.
It is noted that the new hiring movers involves their training within two months. In addition, non-citizens of Russia can apply for this position, since the airport is a strategic object.
In June, the press service of the airport Sheremetyevo explained that the queues to the baggage claim was formed due to the delays. It is specified that the aircraft arrived in the airport late due to high thunderstorm activity, and in Sheremetyevo accumulated about 1.5 thousand units of Luggage because of the failed transfer connections. Now the Luggage is sent to the destination.
On 30 June, the network appeared the pictures of huge queues at Sheremetyevo. It was also noted that on 29 and 30 June a large amount of Luggage (about nine thousand of units) was not sent to the destination.
