Cinemas in districts of the Volgograd region will be equipped with modern equipment in 2D and 3D. This was stated by the Deputy Governor, Chairman of the Committee of culture of the region Vladimir Popkov, reports on Monday, July 8, TASS reported.

According to him, the initiative would free the inhabitants of villages and villages from having to come to the regional center, to watch movies in digital quality. “It is very important for rural residents, it is the creation of cultural environment in rural areas, and cinemas there is a very in demand,” he said.

The interviewee explained that the updated rural cinemas will adopt a flexible system of payment and at affordable prices will be able to show cartoons and movies for children and adolescents, and conduct retro-screenings for members of the older generation.

At this point 33 rural areas updated 17 cinemas, said Popkov. He added that before the end of the year it is planned to upgrade six cultural institutions for this purpose every municipality is allocated five million rubles. In total, the region on the development of this sector allocated about three billion roubles from the Federal and regional budgets.

The initiative is being implemented under the national project “Culture”, for which a dedicated 113,5 billion. It includes three Federal programs: “Cultural environment”, “Creative people”, “Digital culture”. In accordance with the purposes of the project until 2024 will be equipped art schools and schools of musical instruments, equipment and instructional materials, creation and overhaul of cultural and leisure facilities in rural areas, acquisition of mobile multifunctional cultural centers for the maintenance of the rural population, digitization of film content on digital media of the Gosfilmofond of Russia, as well as create virtual concert halls.
