The authorities of the Sverdlovsk, Kurgan and Chelyabinsk regions are planning to establish research and education center (REC) with the involvement of universities from three regions, which will deal with developments in the aerospace industry. On Tuesday, July 9, reports TASS.
The agreement was signed by the heads of regions during the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM.
It is noted that the REC will be established on the basis of the Ural Federal University. The main task of the center will be training and research accelerated introduction of developments into production. In addition, the REC will conduct research in the space industry and digitalization.
As noted at the signing ceremony of the agreement the acting Governor of the Kurgan region Vadim Shumkov, the creation of RECs will enable the region to develop internal orders for research, to attract investment from large and medium-sized companies, as well as provide production capacity.
RECs are created in Russia within the Federal program “Development of scientific and scientific-production cooperation” of the national project “Science.” According to her, by 2024, the country must receive a minimum of 15 scientific and educational centers of the world level, 14 competence centres of STI, scientific and research centers. For the program it is planned to allocate 215 billion rubles.
