The Governor of the Irkutsk region Sergey Levchenko turned to the regional Investigative Committee and demanded to check the legality of the actions of the mayor of Nizhneudinsk area Sergey Khudonogova, who used utilities to save his cottage from flooding, reported on the Agency’s website.
“The basis of the application was the requirement to dismiss the head of the municipality from the duties of the head of the region demanded from Sergey Khudonogova to provide an explanation for the data evaluation of actions”, — stated in the message.
Acting head of the district will be his Deputy Anatoly Krupinov.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko said that the incident Khudonogova should be fired. He said that during an internal review of the fact that the use of official municipal vehicles for private purposes were confirmed.
At the beginning of July, the inhabitants of Nizhneudinsk complained Khudonogova. One of the witnesses took video of the tank near the country house of the mayor, and added that the citizens have to “deal with the consequences of flood of ordinary shovels”.
