American fighter mixed martial (MMA) fighter Ben Askren in an interview with the YouTube channel of ESPN commented on the defeat from compatriot Jorge Masvidal on the UFC 239 in Las Vegas.
Askren said he did not remember what happened in the octagon. He noted that he came to himself only in the hospital and then realized that he had lost Masvidal. “First defeat in his career? What, you want me to cry or to ask for a rematch? I don’t deserve a rematch. Knocked me out for five seconds,” said the soldier.
According to Askren, he knew that the opponent will use his knees. The athlete did not expect that the strike will be performed so quickly and skillfully.
