Beglov called for an end to the disgrace in the elections in St. Petersburg

The system of election commissions of municipal formations (ecme) in St. Petersburg needs to be reformed. This opinion was expressed by the acting Governor Alexander Beglov, reports TASS.

“Today, election Commission of municipal entities practically do not depend neither CEC nor the municipal electoral Committee, nor any other structures. I am sure that it is necessary to reform the system. Otherwise will continue the ugliness and abuse that occur today in our city,” said Beglov in his video.

The official noted that he fully supports the actions of the city electoral Commission (GIK) in the solution of arising problems and noted the operational work of law enforcement agencies.

On April 10 the Chairman of municipal electoral Committee Viktor Minenko said that the GIK will take “tough measures” to the Committee, to which the violations.

The municipal electoral Committee has obliged the Committee to work seven days a week when you receive the documents for registration of candidates to deputies of municipal councils of St. Petersburg. The GEEK is going to court to prosecute members of the Committee who do not fulfill decisions of the CEC of Russia on the procedure of elections. The Commission asked the Prosecutor to strengthen control over observance of the rights of participants in elections.

Previously independent candidates complained that the Committee does not accept their documents for registration.

On 8 September, in uniform day of voting, in St. Petersburg must choose 1550 110 deputies of municipal councils.
