The experts will evaluate the economic efficiency of the synchrotron radiation source SKIF (Siberian annular photon source), which will be established in the Novosibirsk region in the framework of the national project “Science.” On Wednesday, July 10, reports TASS.
Assessment of the effectiveness of the project will be undertaken by the specialists of the Center of collective use (CCU) “Scythian” and Institute of Economics and industrial engineering of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Work is scheduled for completion during the year.
As the Agency explained in a press-service of CSC “SKIF”, the experts will analyze the possible benefits in the form of direct and indirect effects of the synchrotron radiation source.
“For example, the results of the research in the field of structural Virology has created a new drug. The direct effect for the end user — the opportunity to save on costs… If a new drug is cheaper than a set of currently used drugs, then we get the effect for households is proportional to the reduction in price,” — said the press service. Indirect effect in this case will be achieved by employers who lose annually because of the disease employees of SARS and influenza in the order of 100 billion rubles.
The construction of the “SKIF” will be carried out in the framework of the Federal program “Development of advanced infrastructure for research and development in the Russian Federation” of the national project “Science.” According to her, by 2024 in a country with 50 percent updated instrument base of the scientific organizations, will also be commissioned clinical setting class “magicians”. To implement the program is planned to allocate 350 billion rubles.
