The Pechersky district court in Kiev refused to arrest the property of former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. About it reports the UNIAN.
“The judge Vyacheslav Pidpaly refused satisfaction of this petition. The motivation of such decision is still unknown because the full text of the decision yet,” — said the Prosecutor Sergiy Atamanchuk.
On 5 July the General Prosecutor of Ukraine asked the court to seize the property Yushchenko. According to the Agency, the list of assets that prosecutors want to arrest, “pretty big”, but the subject property was not reported.
In June, Yushchenko was summoned for interrogation to the Geprokuraturoy. The investigators believe that in 2007, he contributed to the translation of the presidential residence in a private property. In the “Mezhyhiria” for a nominal fee was to rent the Donetsk firm controlled by former President Viktor Yanukovych.
Yushchenko came to power after the “orange revolution” in 2005. The presidency he held until 2010, when it was replaced by Yanukovych.
